This privacy policy sets out how Carol Pickering Consulting (I/we/us/the company) uses and protects any information that you give us when you use this website and engage in work with us. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and that information about you will only be used in accordance with this policy.   This policy is effective from 25th May 2018.

Information we may collect from you
We provide a range of services for individuals, teams and organisations, including Organisation Development, Leadership Development, Coaching and Coaching Supervision. The main purpose for collecting information from you is to enable us to provide you with the products and services you have requested. The lawful basis for processing your data usually relates to you giving consent and/or entering into a contract to work together.

When you agree to work with us as a client, we will ask you for the minimum of essential information necessary to undertake the work you have requested in a professional, ethical and safe manner. This information may include: your name, address, phone number; email address and the nature, purpose and duration of the work requested by you.

This website does not automatically capture or store personal data from visitors to the site, other than to log the user’s IP address and session information. This information is used only for administration of the site and in the compilation of aggregated statistics to measure the use of this site.

Any enquiries sent via this website are not saved in any database.

What we do with the information we gather

We use this information to understand your needs; give you the service you have requested; and maintain internal records essential for the delivery of our work with you.

Disclosure of your information

Where you provide us with personal data, the data will only be used for the service you have requested. We will not disclose or share any personal data with other organisations or third parties.

In the course of regular supervision as a coach and supervisor of coaches I may discuss clients with my supervisor. I will refer to clients by first name only. No other data is given that could identify them (e.g. location or organisation). I am an accredited coach with The Association for Coaching and work within their global code of ethics: https://www.associationforcoaching.com/page/AboutCodeEthics.


Where we store your personal data

All data is kept securely. If it is stored electronically, it is password-protected; if it is in the form of handwritten notes, as is typically the case for notes of coaching sessions, this is kept in a locked filing cabinet.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us in writing for details of the personal data that we hold on you. You can ask us to correct any errors and delete your personal data if there is no reason for its continued storage and processing.
